Partnerships
We identify, invest in and support early-to-growth stage companies from across the globe to test and validate their technology and solutions to pressing public challenges across five (5) priority verticals (climate, health, housing, mobility and talent) in Miami-Dade County in collaboration with institutions and local government.
Our Public Innovation Challenge is designed to de-risk capital investments as well as accelerate the discovery and commercialization of technologies by connecting private innovators to the public sector through strategic investments that help companies successfully deliver market-ready solutions along with accompanying jobs.
We seek to foster mutually beneficial partnerships that amplify and accelerate collective impact. We believe partnership is a bi-directional relationship characterized by individual contributions to shared objectives and commitments.
Meet Our Community of Partners
Ideal Partners
We collaborate with a broad range of organizations and leaders, both locally and internationally, including foundations, family offices, investors, startup support organizations (accelerators, incubators, etc.), economic development and government agencies, community impact and academic institutions.
Typically, our partners fall within three categories:
-
Organizations and individuals who connect MDIA to a broad network of investors, startups and tech / entrepreneurial support organizations to help identify and recruit startups with responsive technology to apply for Public Innovation Challenge funding opportunities. Investor partners may also evaluate MDIA portfolio companies for investment post completion of their public test and product validation.
-
Organizations, including local government and institutions, that provide technical expertise or host product demonstration sites or provide commercial proof of value opportunities for the test-and-validate component of MDIA’s Public Innovation Challenge program.
-
Commercialization partners that provide opportunities for MDIA portfolio companies to scale their operations within and beyond Miami-Dade County.
